Book Club fabric collection celebrates bookishness and the wonders that grow from our minds when fed with a good read. Inspired by quiet garden reading corners, vintage library stamps, book club friends, and the dreamy feeling of falling deep into a story, page turn after page turn.

About the Designer

Meenal Patel is an artist, illustrator, designer, and children’s book author who is inspired by moments of childhood wonder, details in nature, and the strength of community. Patches and Squares Quilt Pattern

I designed the Patches and Square quilt pattern for large scale prints, and a lot of Cloud9 fabrics are directional and larger in scale. I love the softness of Cloud9, their fabrics make beautiful quilts. Smaller collection size, make finishing the quilt simple and fun. Here is Patches and Square made using a half yard bundle of Book Club. I love how it turned out. I quilted it on a longarm machine at APQS using free motion quilting. I meandered around adding leaves, and eyeglasses, and swirls. I had a lot of fun quilting this project.

Downstream Lap Quilt – Free Pattern by Cloud9 Fabrics

The Downstream Lap Quilt is a free pattern offered by Cloud9 Fabrics. The original sample features eight prints from the Book Club collection.

To make the quilt, you’ll need:

  • ½ yard each of 8 coordinating prints
  • ½ yard for binding
  • 3½ yards for backing
