From WIPs to Finished Quilts: How to Stay Organized and Make Progress
A free printable to help you track your quilting projects and enjoy the process—one step at a time.
Do you love seeing your progress as you work through a quilt project?
I created a simple Quilt Project Tracker to help me keep all my quilting projects in one place. Whether I’m just getting started or somewhere in the middle, I like being able to glance at my tracker and see where everything stands.
It’s an easy way to stay organized, keep track of the little wins, and enjoy the process—one stitch at a time.

How I Use the Quilt Project Tracker
Over time, I’ve realized how helpful it is to see all my works in progress (WIPs) at a glance. Some projects are just getting started. Others are quilt tops waiting for backing. A few just need binding.
With this tracker, I can quickly check in on where things are, what I might want to work on next, or simply celebrate how far I’ve come.
I also included space to jot down the details I like to remember—things like the pattern name, when I started a project, who I made it for, or even who quilted it. It’s a small thing, but having those notes all in one place has been so helpful.

Why Tracking Helps
This isn’t about rushing or checking things off a list. It’s about staying connected to your creative journey.
Whether you’re working on one quilt at a time or juggling several, having a visual reminder of what’s in progress can be really motivating. And if you’re someone who loves to start new things (like me!), it’s also a gentle way to stay grounded in the projects you already love.
